About the Event

Are you a lover of Italian wines? In addition to our complimentary daily wine tastings, join us every Saturday as we introduce new wines to you from all over Italy. You will taste up to 3 wines that we will choose to offer to "expand your palate" and we will share food pairing ideas too!

John will be offering:

Tiefenbrunner Merus Weissburgunder 2021 – 100% Pinot Blanc. This is an elegant Pinot Bianco with a light medium-lemon color. The wine offers aromas of white flowers, lemon-lime citrus, and hints of green apples and pears. On the palate, the wine's subtle, creamy texture is countered by refreshing acidity and minerality. This wine is wonderful on its own as an aperitif or paired with light salads and vegetable antipasti, light appetizers, fish dishes and asparagus.

Cantina Tramin Lago di Caldaro Classico Superiore Schiava – 100% Schiava. This light-bodied wine is pale ruby red in color and low in tannins. It tastes soft and fruity and leaves hints of bitter almonds on the palate. This wine goes perfectly with appetizers and typical Tyrolean afternoon snack comprising cured ham, smoked sausages and cheese. White meat and pizza are also great matching partners for Lago di Caldaro, which is also suitable for drinking between meals.

ColleMassari Montecucco Rosso Riserva 2017 - 80% Sangiovese, 10% Ciliegiolo, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon. Intense and persistent nose with clear hints of blackberry and blueberry in prevalence; dense aromas of jam and notes of Mediterranean spices emerge in progression. The attack on the palate is soft and harmonious; the finish ample and enveloping, supported by a backbone of pleasant acidity. Goes well with roast and braised red meats, game and aged cheese.
