Sample Saturdays: Free Wine Tasting with Luigi Colombo of Cantiniere Importers

Are you a lover of Italian wines? In addition to our complimentary daily wine tastings, join us every Saturday as we introduce new wines to you from all over Italy. You will taste up to 3 wines that we will choose to offer to "expand your palate" and we will share food pairing ideas too!

Luigi will be offering:

Ippolito 1845 "Mabilia" Ciro Rose 2021 – We love the Gaglioppo grape from Calabria, and are excited that Luigi carries a Rosato of this grape! Dry, crisp and refreshing, fruity and balanced on the palate, perfect for these last hot days of summer.

PALLAGRELLO BIANCO 2022 from VIGNE CHIGI Campania – Another new grape for us to share! We tasted this with Luigi and loved it and think you will too. Aromas of lightly honeyed, ripe fruit and spice open up on the palate to reveal ripe lemon, banana and lovely, creamy minerals. This is a full-bodied white with well-balanced, ripe character.

Amastuola Vignatorta 2017, Puglia - Organic powerful red wine from Puglia produced from 2 grape varieties, Primitivo and Syrah. Vignatorta is a fruity wine complemented by light textures of sweet spices and floral hints of iris. Its taste has a fresh and dynamic approach, developed on an elegant and balanced structure with very fine tannins and tonic acidity, which support a long fruity finish interwoven with spicy tones. A new blend for your palate!
